AI Tools I Use Weekly (and What I Ditched)

If you’ve been overwhelmed by the flood of new AI tools — you’re not alone. I tested dozens. Most were fluff. Some stuck.
Here are the 5 I use weekly (and 3 I ditched):
Still Using Weekly:
- ChatGPT: For writing drafts, emails, and brainstorming offers. Huge time-saver.
- Claude: Better for summarizing PDFs and longer content.
- Monica: A browser AI assistant that saves clicks and time while researching.
- Grammarly: For final proofreading — catches what I miss.
- Whimsical AI: Helps map workflows or page structures visually, fast.
Ditched:
- Copy.ai: Overhyped — the output was generic every time.
- Jasper: Pricey and clunky compared to free ChatGPT workflows.
- Descript: Good idea, but buggy and slow for real work.
My Workflow:
I use AI to accelerate tasks — not replace thinking. The trick is combining tools into repeatable systems.
